Member organisations are able to define their own benefits, with guidance from FLIMAS, allowing the scheme to be structured around the organisation’s workforce needs and healthcare objectives. Due to the nature and volatility of claims, reinsurance arrangements can be engaged for the group risk to help protect the fund from depletion by one or two major claims such as accidents and surgeries.
